Taylor Hawkins’ tribute show will have Geddy Lee, Brian May and more

The Foo Fighters scheduled two tribute concerts to honor their late drummer Taylor Hawkins who died in March 2022 at the age of 50 when the band was in Bogotá, Colombia to perform at the Lollapalooza festival. Now the group announced the special guests that will be appearing on the shows that will happen in London and Los Angeles next September.

The concerts will benefit charities in the United Kingdom and United States chose by Hawkins’ family.

Besides all the Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Nate Mendel, the group will be accompanied by the special guests on the dates below.

The band said that more special guests can be announced on both dates.

September 3 – London, at the Wembley Stadium

In an official statement, the Foo Fighters talked about the two shows, saying: “The first wave of confirmed guests to join The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts in celebration of the life, music and love of one of modern music’s most beloved figures has been confirmed.”

“The two all-star global events in celebration of Taylor’s memory and his legacy as a global rock icon will take place September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium and September 27 at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles.  The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities in both the UK and the US chosen by the Hawkins family. Beneficiaries and further details will be announced shortly.”
