Like many other famous groups during the last decade, Scorpions will also have a biopic released soon and it might be already in 2025. According to Deadline, the movie about the band is being developed and produced by ESX Entertainment, which was founded by the actor, producer and ex-race car driver Ali Afshar.

The company is known for being an indie film and TV production and made many films for streaming platforms. The film about the Hard Rock group will be called “Wind of Change”, which is a direct reference to their hit song.
The producer of the movie, Ali Afshar, talked about the project, saying: “The Scorpions’ music has penetrated our culture in a big way. There is an evocative quality to their sound that is unmatched in the genre, which is one of the reasons hits like ‘Rock You Like A Hurricane’ and ‘Still Loving You’ continue to get so much airplay and fill movie soundtracks, and their music continues to connect with a new generation of fans across the globe.”
“When my family fled Iran and came to the United States, the Scorpions’ music changed my life — if not saved it,” he continued. “I’m hoping that by telling the Scorpions’ story, we can bring some of that same inspiration to the world,” he said.
They want to release the movie in 2025 to coincide with the celebration of Scorpions’ 60th birthday. The band was formed back in 1965 by the guitarist Rudolf Schenker.
Scorpions was formed in 1965 in Hanover, West Germany and their debut album “Lonesome Crow” was released in 1972. The band had many line-up changes over the decades and the only two members who were part of all the releases were Rudolf Schenker and the singer Klaus Meine. They have released 19 studio albums and sold an estimated amount of more than 100 million records worldwide.
Besides Meine and Schenker, their current line-up has Matthias Jabs (Guitar – Since 1978), Paweł Mąciwoda (Bass – Since 2003) and Mikkey Dee (Drums – Since 2016).
