Sabbath, James Hetfield, Elton John and more attended Ozzy’s private funeral

One week after his death at the age of 76, Ozzy Osbourne was buried beside the lake at his mansion in Buckinghamshire, England. Tents were set up around the area for the family’s privacy and there was also a purple flower arrangement that read “Ozzy Fucking Osbourne.”

A friend of the family told The Sun that the late musician “wanted his final place of rest to be at home and he is buried at a beautiful point on the lake. Everyone at the service just wanted to support Sharon and the kids, it has been an awful time. Toasts were raised, memories were shared — it was a very fitting goodbye. Ozzy’s service was a beautiful tribute. As well as tears, there was laughter,” the person told the newspaper.

The ceremony was held right after Ozzy’s funeral procession, which was livestreamed to the entire world. During the procession, the family stopped at the Black Sabbath Bridge in Birmingham to thank fans for their support and to give them a chance to say one final goodbye to the Sabbath frontman. The hearse also passed by his childhood home, where fans had left many messages and flowers.
