Metallica 2026 tour dates

Metallica will continue on the road in 2026 promoting their latest album, 72 Seasons (2023), and, of course, celebrating their 45th anniversary. From May to July, the band has scheduled dates in Greece, Romania, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. More dates may be added, as so far only European shows have been announced.

It is also possible that the band could finally return to South America, since they have not visited the region in the past three years. The band is still formed by James Hetfield (Vocals and guitar), Kirk Hammett (Guitar), Rob Trujillo (Bass) and Lars Ulrich (Drums).

In 2025, the band premiered the new documentary Metallica Save My Life, which explores the lives of many of their fans and how the band’s music helped them through difficult times. The film premiered at the prestigious Tribeca Festival in June and was also shown at the Mill Valley Film Festival in the Bay Area, where the band is based. The documentary was directed by Jonas Åkerlund, and an official statement from the band explained the feature, saying: “As we first announced in the spring, ‘Metallica Saved My Life’ is all about you. The fans who have supported each other through highs, lows, trials, and triumphs for over four decades. And yeah, we’re in it a little bit too. Many of youwere able to see the film in M72 cities this summer, look for a full release early next year.”

I'm a Brazilian journalist who always loved Classic Rock and Heavy Metal music. That passion inspired me to create Rock and Roll Garage over 6 years ago. Music has always been a part of my life, helping me through tough times and being a support to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist, I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After graduating in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, I pursued a postgraduate degree in digital communication at the same institution. The studies and experience in the field helped me improve the website and always bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
