Lou Gramm says he will retire from touring in 2024

The original Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm announced that he will retire from touring in 2024. As many artists from his era, the musician said that the problem is not actually performing but traveling.

He told Lee Richey, that after the final performance he wants to focus on his family and muscle cars. But also said that he would definitely sing with Foreigner at a possible Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. The band is a nominee for the 2024 class and Gramm said that he was already informed that if the induction happens he will sing with the group.

Lou Gramm said about retiring from touring in 2024

“This is my last year… I’ve been doing it, jeez, for almost 50 years. I would like to turn my attention to my family and my muscle cars and just enjoy myself knowing that when I lay down at night, it’ll be in my own bed.”

“This is gonna be it. I’ve been putting it off and putting it off. And I still enjoy performing, but when you’ve been doing it for as long as I have, the travel is the worst. It really takes its toll. And that’s a sign that you’re getting old.”

“I’ve heard that we’re going to play a song or two (if inducted). And I was told that I would be singing,” Lou Gramm said.
