Formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1967, the band’s original name was Chicago Transit Authority, but they later became known simply as Chicago. After many line-up changes over the years, the group has been on the road for almost six decades and currently has only three original members: Robert Lamm (keyboardist, not touring), Lee Loughnane (trumpeter), and James Pankow (trombonist). The band just extended their 2026 tour, announcing new shows in the United States this year.
