Tom Morello reschedules solo tour to join Bruce Springsteen on the road
Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello, who previously toured with Bruce Springsteen as a special guest, will once again join the Boss and the E Street Band on the road. He will perform select songs with them at every show on the “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour, which begins in March in Minneapolis, following his and Springsteen’s appearance at the “Defend Minnesota” benefit concert.
The official press release for the upcoming tour states that Bruce’s goal is to defend American democracy and raise awareness about the current Donald Trump policies.
Tom Morello said about joining Bruce Springsteen on the road again
“After Bruce joined me last month in Minneapolis for our “Defend Minnesota” charity concert, I was reminded how important our platform is, and how crucial the resistance work is that our music can do together at this dangerous historical juncture. Together, Bruce, the E Street Band, and I are going to turn a spotlight on the current threats to democracy and human rights happening all around us the in the spirit of freedom, justice, and rock n roll.”
“This will necessitate postponing a few of my solo shows in May. I have a deep love and respect for all my friends, fans & comrades and I promise that we will find a way to be together for these shows, in these towns, very soon,” he said.
