Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson released two new songs “Kabul Blues” and “Spy House” that are available only in his official website, but are played in the video that marks the release of the new Alex Lifeson Epiphone Les Paul Standard Axcess electric guitar. Created by Lifeson and the luthiers at Epiphone in Nashville, Tennessee, the Alex Lifeson Epiphone Les Paul Standard Axcess is now available worldwide at Epiphone.com.
Recently Geddy Lee and Alex, the two remaining members of Rush said that they could work together in the future.

“Kabul Blues” was written by Alex and has Andy Curran (Bass) and Alex playing “everything else”, as he said in his website. “Spy House” has Andy Curran (Bass), David Quinton (Drums) and Alex playing “everything else”.
Music with Geddy Lee
Back in February Alex Lifeson said in an interview with Make Weird Music that he and Geddy Lee will probably make new music together again in the future. In january 2020 the band lost the legendary drummer Neil Peart, victim of brain cancer.
“After we finished the last [Rush] tour in 2015, I started just writing on my own and doing some stuff. Geddy was working on his book. We talked about getting together and doing some stuff together, but it got very, very busy for him, even after he finished writing the book — taking it on the road. So we never got a chance to sit down and start working or just having some fun together.”
“We still talk about it, and I’m sure we will [work together]. Of course, now with the pandemic, it’s kind of wrecked things for a bit. But we’re both eager to get back together and kind of get back into that thing that we’ve done since we were 14 years old that we love to do. And we work really, really well together. So we’ll see what happens with that.”
