Watch Mike Portnoy’s drum cam on Sons Of Apollo new song “Labyrinth”

The supergroup Sons Of Apollo released a drum cam of Mike Portnoy playing their new song “Labyrinth”, from the album Psychotic Symphony.

The song is taken from the band’s debut album, “Psychotic Symphony”, which is being released today (Friday, October 20) via InsideOut Music.

The disc was produced by the dynamic production duo of Mike Portnoy and Sherinian Sherinian, also affectionately known as “The Del Fuvio Brothers,” which is the nickname given to them over twenty years ago during their time together in Dream Theater.

The Sons Of Apollo tha features Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan, Jeff Scott Soto, Derek Sherinian and Bumblefoot, just released a new video for the song “Lost In Oblivion”.

No more Dream Theater songs

The tour of Mike Portnoy’s project Shattered Fortress came to an end. Throughout the tour, the drummer presented covers of his former band, Dream Theater, including a full performance of the “Suite of 12 Steps.”

With the end of the tour, Mike Portnoy reaffirmed in note that it should be the last time he plays “some, if not all, of these songs” of Dream Theater. He had already made a statement to that effect earlier.

“It was a great emotional experience to present these songs for the last time in every city, but on Saturday it was really ‘the end.’” I do not rule out that it is very possible (in fact, I predict that it’s very likely) that I’ll never play some of these songs again, if not all, “Portnoy said.
