The Darkness announce new 2023 tour dates

Formed in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England back in 2000, The Darkness became an instant success after the release of their debut album “Permission To Land”, which had the huge hit “I Believe in a Thing Called Love”.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their most important album, the band announced many new tour dates for Europe and North America for 2023.

The group is currently formed by Justin Hawkins (Vocals and guitar – Since 2000), Dan Hawkins (Guitar), Frankie Poullan (Bass – Since 2000) and Rufus Tiger Taylor (Drums – Since 2015).

The band talked about the new tour in an official statement, saying: “When Permission to Land landed, twenty short years ago, we were bathed in shock and awe. As if by magic, Rock wasn’t dead! Fun wasn’t banned! And Spandex was almost acceptable again…”

“Well, guess what? Twenty years on, the same rules apply. So please to squeeze yourselves into those inappropriate leggings, back-comb your mullet, splash on a big handful of attitude, and come celebrate with us! We promise everything and we deliver, every time. Bring on the next twenty! The Darkness. The best. For you. Forever,” the band said.
