See videos and setlist of Metallica’s first show at the Sphere

Metallica played the first show of their residency at the technological marvel that is the Sphere in Las Vegas, a venue that has already hosted bands like the Eagles and U2. Besides the great show, the band provided some incredible visuals that were displayed on the massive screens inside the venue, including H.P. Lovecraft’s legendary monster Cthulhu taking over Las Vegas while the band performed the instrumental track “The Call of Ktulu” from “Ride the Lightning” (1984), which was inspired by the creature’s story.
