Sammy Hagar says he will make new music with Joe Satriani
Sammy Hagar recently started the “Best of All Worlds” tour, which is focused on the material Van Halen wrote when he was part of the band. On the road with him are Michael Anthony (Bass) and Jason Bonham (Drums), who both had been part of his band for years already. The newly added member is Joe Satriani, the guitarist who worked with Hagar in the supergroup Chickenfoot a few years ago.

In an interview with “The Bogus Otis Show“, Hagar confirmed that besides touring, the band will also make new music with Joe Satriani on guitar. He said he doesn’t know when but that it will definitely happen.

“Yes. I guarantee it. I mean, it’s, like, I don’t know when and why, because records don’t sell. I’ve made a couple of my best records of my life, my last two solo records, and I’m lucky to sell 50 or 60,000 records. You go and make a record nowadays just to lose a couple hundred thousand bucks. It’s all good. But I need a tax write-off, so it really helps. ‘I made too many this year. Let’s go make a record,'” Joe Satriani said.
