Phil Anselmo, former Pantera vocalist and currently in the bands Down, Scour, Phil Anselmo & The Illegals and in his latest project called En Minor, spoke in an interview with Revolver magazine about Slayer’s decision to retire.
“There are a lot of bands doing one last tour. This is called smart business to a certain extent. So, I’ll believe it if it happens.
When I was young, Slayer changed my life, so whatever they decide, all I can do is extend my love and admiration and wish the best for them. ”
Concerning the possibility that he and Kerry King do something together, Phil says “If Kerry King wants to make a record and that sounds cool, my door is always open.”
I am a Brazilian journalist, a Classic Rock and Heavy Metal lover. Music has always been part of my life, helped me through tough moments and was with me to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After college I did a postgraduate degree in digital communication. This has helped me to make the website better and bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
