Phil Anselmo, former Pantera vocalist and currently in the bands Down, Scour, Phil Anselmo & The Illegals and in his latest project called En Minor, spoke in an interview with Revolver magazine about Slayer’s decision to retire.

“There are a lot of bands doing one last tour. This is called smart business to a certain extent. So, I’ll believe it if it happens.
When I was young, Slayer changed my life, so whatever they decide, all I can do is extend my love and admiration and wish the best for them. ”
Concerning the possibility that he and Kerry King do something together, Phil says “If Kerry King wants to make a record and that sounds cool, my door is always open.”
