Original Kiss drummer Peter Criss announces solo album
The original Kiss drummer Peter Criss announced a new solo album that will be released next December 19. The self-titled record was co-produced by him alongside Barry Pointer, who previously worked with names like Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Stevens and Dolly Parton.
His backing band is formed by bassists Billy Sheehan and Matthew Montgomery (Piggy D.), the guitarists John 5 and Mike McLaughlin and Paul Shaffer on piano. Were also part of the record the backing vocalists Dennis and Sharon Collins and Cat Manning.

Peter Criss co-founded Kiss in New York City alongside Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Gene Simmons back in 1973 and was part of the band until 1980. He returned from 1996 to 2000 and 2002 to 2004. As a solo artist he had previously released five studio albums: “Peter Criss” (1978), “Out of Control” (1980), “Let Me Rock You” (1982), “Cat No. 1” (1994) and “One For All” (2007). Before his solo career and Kiss, he had recorded in 1970 a self-titled album with his previous band Chelsea.
The oldest original member of Kiss, Peter Criss will celebrate next December 20 his 80th birthday.
