Nancy Wilson says Heart’s new album is almost finished

Heart guitarist and co-founder Nancy Wilson revealed that Heart’s upcoming studio album is almost finished. It will be their 17th and their first album since “Beautiful Broken” (2016), although no title or release date has been announced yet.

What Nancy Wilson said about Heart’s upcoming album:

“(It’s) almost finished up now, (it’s) really, really strong. I think it’s going to be great. We wrote a bunch of new songs and recorded down in Nashville with the players that we just played the last tour with. It was like a secondhand thing with each other because we’ve played so many live shows, so the album was pretty much recorded live. I’m really happy. It really feels like a Heart record.”

“Well (there is no release date yet), we’re delivering it at the end of August. And so, with the world tour to set up and a documentary film to work on and a live-action feature film and an album and a tour and a new management company, we’re getting all of those ducks in a row, so that we can strategize the rollout,” she said in an interview with Gold Derby. The band has two tour dates scheduled this year, on October 23 and 24 at the River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch, Alberta, Canada.

The band’s current line-up has Ann Wilson (Vocals), Nancy Wilson (Guitar), Ryan Waters (Guitar), Ryan Wariner (Guitar), Paul Moak (Keyboards), Tony Lucido (Bass) and Sean T. Lane (Drums). The band was formed in Seattle, Washington back in 1974, being active until 1998. They reunited from 2002 to 2016, in 2019 and since 2023 have been on the road again. Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Chris Cornell back in 2013. Some of their biggest hits are “Barracuda”, “Crazy on You” and “Alone”.
