Mick Mars releases his first solo song “Loyal to The Lie”

The original Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars released “Loyal To The Lie”, the first song of his solo career. The musician who was part of the famous Hard Rock band for more than four decades started a legal battle with his ex-bandmates this year following the announcement of his retirement, due to his battle with ankylosing spondylitis, because he wanted to only stop touring and to  continue as an official member of the band, what didn’t happen and he was replaced by John 5.

“Loyal To The Lie” is the first single of his long-awaited solo album which is called “The Other Side of Mars” that will be out next February 23.

“I wanted to do something that was just big and mean. (…) People are going to hear my tone — my sound. I am what I am. Nobody else can do it. And like everyone, I’ve got a limited number of years. So, I’m gonna do all I can to do a lot of stuff.”

“There’s a lot of ideas that I have that, I don’t want to call them ‘left,’ but they are, you know what I mean? My feeling has always been, I might gain some fans, I might lose some fans. But what they’re hearing, it’s all me,” Mick Mars said.
