Jeff Lynne reveals E.L.O.’s final show will happen in 2025

Formed in Birmingham, England back in 1970, Electric Light Orchestra became in the following decades one of the most successful bands of all time, with an estimated amount of more than 50 million records sold worldwide. Led by the band’s singer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Lynne, they were active until 1986, returning from 2000 to 2001 and from 2014 until now.

“My return to touring began at Hyde Park in 2014. It seems like the perfect place to do our final show. We couldn’t be more excited to share this special night in London with our U.K. fans. As the song goes, ‘We’re gonna do it one more time!’”

The band is currently on their farewell tour across the United States and they still have four dates scheduled this year in Sacramento, Inglewood and Phoenix. The final show in London will happen next July 13.

The only original and classic member of the band right now is Jeff Lynne, who is accompanied in the shows by hired musicians. He is the only musician who was a part of all the band’s releases during the past five decades.

Electric Light Orchestra released 15 studio albums, the most recent one being “From Out of Nowhere”, credited as “Jeff Lynne’s ELO” in 2018.
