Jane’s Addiction members are recording without Perry Farrell
The Jane’s Addiction reunion was sadly cut short in September, 2024 after the vocalist Perry Farrell assaulted the guitarist Dave Navarro on stage during a concert in Boston. The singer later on apologized for his behavior and revealed he would seek professional help.

But on an Instagram post, Navarro hinted that the band would not reunite anymore because he said that the fans won’t hear their latest single “True Love” being played live. On his Instagram profile, the bassist Eric Avery posted a video saying that he was writing some bass lines to some of Stephen Perkins’ drums and that Dave Navarro would later record the guitar parts.
“Writing some more new lines to some of Stephens drumming. Look forward to getting some Mr Navarro on them. 2025!”
So the three original Jane’s Addiction members are now recording new music without the vocalist Perry Farrell. No more details were revealed, so we still don’t know if they will continue as Jane’s Addiction or if they will release new music under another name.
The band was formed by Perry Farrell, Eric Avery, Stephen Perkins and Dave Navarro back in 1985 in Los Angeles, California. During the past decades they released four praised albums: “Nothing’s Shocking” (1988), “Ritual de lo Habitual” (1990), “Strays” (2003) and “The Great Escape Artist”.
Some of their most famous songs are “Jane Says”, “Been Caught Stealing”, “Just Because”, “Mountain Song” and “Stop”. They were active from 1985 to 1991, in 1997, 2001 to 2004 and from 2008 to 2024.
