Jack Osbourne confirmed during a livestream on his YouTube channel last week that the biographical movie about his father, Ozzy Osbourne, already has its script written and will happen. He revealed that he was recently on calls about the project and that it might be released in 2028 or a little later.

“I was on calls today about it. The script is right there. We are good. This movie will absolutely happen. Realistically – I mean, look, we’re already halfway through ’26 – it probably won’t come out until ’28. But you never know. But, yeah, we’re full steam ahead. We’re about to start going out and getting a director attached. So, fingers crossed. I’m really excited. It’s, yeah, very much been a labour of love, of course. But, yeah, I’m excited – I’m excited for everyone to see this film,” he said.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76, just a few weeks after playing his final solo show and also his last concert with Bill Ward, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler as Black Sabbath at the Back at the Beginning festival in their hometown of Birmingham.
Ozzy’s funeral service was held on July 31, right after Ozzy’s procession, which was livestreamed to the entire world. During the procession, the family stopped at the Black Sabbath Bridge in Birmingham to thank fans for their support and to give them a chance to say one final goodbye to the Sabbath frontman. The hearse also passed by his childhood home, where fans had left many messages and flowers.
According to The Sun, about 110 people attended Ozzy’s private funeral and among those were Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, James Hetfield, Elton John, Zakk Wylde, Rob Zombie, Marylin Manson, Yungblud.
Last March, Jack, who is Ozzy’s youngest son, welcomed a newborn daughter and gave her the name of Ozzy. He and his wife Aree Gearhart (34) revealed the arrival of their second baby together in a social media post. Jack revealed that she is called Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.

Their first daughter, Maple Artemis Osbourne, was born in July 2022. Jack is also the father of three daughters from his previous relationship with Lisa Stelly. They are Pearl Clementine Osbourne (13), Andy Rose Osbourne (10) and Minnie Theodora Osbourne (7).
