Anthrax released “The Edge Of Perfection”, a single of their upcoming long-awaited studio album “Cursum Perficio” that will be out next September 18. It is their first record in 10 years since the praised “For All Kings”. The name of the album means “My journey is over” or “I complete my journey”in Latin.
The band is formed by Scott Ian (guitar), Charlie Benante (drums), Frank Bello (bass), Joey Belladonna (vocals) and Jon Donais (guitar).
Scott Ian talked about the song, saying: “It’s the apex predator of Anthrax songs. I think it’s the best song we’ve ever written and the best thing I’ve ever been a part of creatively. What’s the most powerful emotion that moves me more than anything? Of course it’s love. Nothing moves me like the deep feeling that I get from my wife and son.”
“I’m living on that edge for the rest of my life. This is mine, but there are a lot of ways to ruin it. I’ve ruined it in past iterations of my life, but it got me to where I am. Love is perfection, and I like being on the edge of it. I don’t want everything to be about all of the same shit. This record has a whole bunch of love, a whole bunch of fun, and a little hate,” he said. They have scheduled shows this year in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
I'm a Brazilian journalist who always loved Classic Rock and Heavy Metal music. That passion inspired me to create Rock and Roll Garage over 6 years ago. Music has always been a part of my life, helping me through tough times and being a support to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist, I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After graduating in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, I pursued a postgraduate degree in digital communication at the same institution. The studies and experience in the field helped me improve the website and always bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
