In his tour to promote the new album “Heaven Upside Down”, he included in his set a cover of Gerard McMahon‘s “Cry Little Sister”.
The song was written by Gerard McMahon (under the pseudonym Gerard McMann) and Michael Mainieri and performed by McMahon for the 1987 soundtrack to the film The Lost Boys. The album peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200, the single did not chart in the U.S.
McMahon has said that he “wanted it to be about the longing for family from a rejected youth’s perspective, which I went through myself and that many of us have felt.”
