Great Forgotten Songs #18 – Nazareth “Dream On”
“Dream On” was song recorded by the Scottish’s of Nazareth and was released on the album “2XS” (1982. Initially written by Rankin and recorded as a demo in 1979 – with an additional verse being penned by Charlton in 1982 during the recording of “2XS”. Dream On became one of their most popular tracks.

And the song certainly has one of the most bizarre videoclips in the history of rock and roll. With midgets and futuristic spaceship.

2XS was the thirteenth studio album by Nazareth and includes the rock radio hit “Love Leads To Madness” and the song “Dream On”, which has become one of the band’s biggest hits and was later covered by the metal band Helix.
Nazareth was formed in 1968 and had several hits in the United Kingdom, as well as in several other West European countries in the early 1970s, and established an international audience with their 1975 album Hair of the Dog, which featured their hits “Hair of the Dog” and a cover of the ballad “Love Hurts”.The band continues to record and tour, but with only some original members.
