Exodus announce they parted ways with singer Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza

The Californian Thrash Metal band Exodus announced they parted ways with their longtime vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza. He was a member of the band from 1986 to 1993, 2002 to 2004 and 2014 to 2025, being their main vocalist during the band’s career. The group didn’t explain why Zetro is now out of the band but they already revealed his replacement, who is Rob Dukes, singer that already replaced Zetro from 2005 to 2014.

“Announcement! EXODUS have parted ways with Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza. We thank Steve for his years fronting the band and all the killer music we made during that time. We wish him only the best in the future and much success with anything he does.

“And please help us welcome Rob Dukes back to EXODUS! We are beyond stoked to have Rob back ripping up the stage with us and he’s looking forward to crushing everything like only he can.

“Next chapter begins, new record rolls along as planned and the beatings will continue. See you soon, EXODUS,” the statement said.

Dukes was the band’s vocalist on the studio albums: “Shovel Headed Kill Machine” (2005), The “Atrocity Exhibition… Exhibit A” (2007), “Let There Be Blood” (2008) and “Exhibit B: The Human Condition” (2010).

Besides Dukes, the band is now formed by Gary Holt (Guitar), Tom Hunting (Drums), Jack Gibson (Bass) and Lee Altus (Guitar). The group was formed in Richmond, California back in 1979 being active until 1993. After a four year hiatus they returned in 1997 and 1998, returning then only in 2001 and they have been active ever since.
