Megadeth already released three singles of their upcoming studio album “The Sick, The Dying and The Dead” that will be out next September 2. Even though the band is touring they still hasn’t performed any of the new tracks live in concert yet. In an interview with 102.9 The Hog radio station (Transcribed by Blabbermouth), the band’s frontman and guitarist Dave Mustaine explained the reason why they still didn’t play those songs yet.

The new album was recorded by Dave Mustaine (Guitar and vocals), Kiko Loureiro (Guitar), Dirk Verbeuren (Drums) and Steve DiGiorgio (Bass), who remade David Ellefson’s (Fired) basslines. The singles that are already available are “Soldier On!”, “Night Stalkers (Featuring ICE-T) and “We’ll Be Back”.
“We are adding two songs to our set; we are adding ‘Night Stalkers’ and ‘We’ll Be Back’. Hopefully we’ll be able to add ‘Soldier On!’ by then too. But a lot of that is dictated by the radio support and the listeners’ tastes. When certain songs our fans like to hear, we’ll add them into the setlist if we can.”
“If there’s a song that we’re playing in the setlist and people aren’t responding to it, well, obviously we’re gonna do the opposite and take it out of the setlist. This is all part of the showbiz part. A lot of people don’t care about that; they just wanna rock” Dave Mustaine said.
The album will also have two bonus covers: “Police Truck”, 0riginally recorded by The Dead Kennedys and “This Planet’s On Fire (Burn In Hell),” originally recorded by Sammy Hagar, who re-recorded the song with Megadeth for the album.
