First released on the classic Kiss album “Creatures of The Night”, the song “War Machine” became one of the most famous songs of the American band with Gene Simmons on vocals. Although Kiss wrote most of the songs by themselves in the 70s, in the 80s they started working with other songwriters, including the then future popstar Bryan Adams and the Canadian songwriter Jim Vallance. Both of them co-wrote “War Machine” with Simmons back then a few other songs you can see here.
Adams recently released a version for “Rock and Roll Hell”, another song co-written by him, Jim Vallance and Gene Simmons. Now he also released his version for “War Machine”, which also has an official music video. Curiously, it was Jim Vallance who played the drums on this new version and the track also had Keith Scott on guitar, while Adams recorded the vocals and bass. Although the song is really similar to the original version, Adams made some small changes in the lyrics.

The lyrics of Adams’ “War Machine” version
“Wanna bite the hands that feeds me
Wanna watch them die
Set the demons free and see them fly
Strike down the one who leads me
Gonna take his place
Gonna crucify the human race
Better watch out – cuz I’m a war machine
You better watch out – cuz I’m a war machine
Take the reins of power and seize them
Draw the battle lines
Armageddon’s just a matter of time
Tear down the voice of reason
Let the arrows fly
Your freedom’s just a state of mind
Better watch out – cuz I’m a war machine…”
