The Foo Fighters played last June 27 at Villa Park Stadium, which is the home of the football team Aston Villa, which is the team the legendary Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler supports. The stadium is also located in Birmingham, city where Black Sabbath was formed, so the group invited Butler to be part of the show and they performed together the track “Paranoid”.

Before playing the song, the band’s leader, guitarist and vocalist Dave Grohl said: “He’s never seen a concert here. He’s never played a concert here. So we thought, something special for us and hopefully it’s special for him too, we’d invite him out to come play a song with us.”
“Ladies and gentleman, Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath. Let me just say it one more time: Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath! So, why not? Let’s do a song with Geezer? What do you say Chris (Shiflett)?” And obviously, the band started playing “Paranoid”.
I'm a Brazilian journalist who always loved Classic Rock and Heavy Metal music. That passion inspired me to create Rock and Roll Garage over 6 years ago. Music has always been a part of my life, helping me through tough times and being a support to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist, I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After graduating in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, I pursued a postgraduate degree in digital communication at the same institution. The studies and experience in the field helped me improve the website and always bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
