Billy Gould confirms Faith No More will be back in 2027

After nearly 10 years since their last concert, Faith No More will reunite. The band recently posted a teaser on social media featuring their logo and the year “2027”. Now, bassist Billy Gould has confirmed in an interview with Rock Talk that the group is indeed back and will be able to tour again, “probably for a few years.”

“Yeah, we’re gonna do it. We’re gonna play. Yeah, we’re gonna do it.: Our music is very physical, and a big concern is, like, pretty soon we’re not gonna be able to do this the way we wrote it. We wrote it as 20-year-olds and it, it’s always been very physical. It has to be that way. I can’t play the song if I’m not like that, honestly. With my bass parts, I just can’t do it. But we all kind of decided, like, we think we can do it. I think that we can do it for a few more years, and we can do it the right way, so we’re gonna give it a go,” he said (Transcribed by Blabbermouth).

This week it was announced the American band signed a global deal with 30e, a Brazilian love entertainment giant, making the company “the strategic and operational hub for the band’s upcoming global runs, encompassing everything from tour conception across five continents to brand development and new fan experiences,” the press release said.,

The band had to cancel its previously announced return in 2021 due to Mike Patton’s mental health issues, which were exacerbated by the isolation of the pandemic. As the years passed, the singer resumed touring with his other projects, and the members of Faith No More said they were no longer together, mainly because Patton did not want to continue with the band. They even said last year that they did not see Faith No More reuniting in the future. However, they are finally back together again.

The tour dates have not yet been announced, but since the press release mentioned “five continents”, it is expected that the group will embark on a true world tour rather than the kind of “world tours” many artists announce that end up focusing primarily on the United States and Europe.
