Alex Van Halen announces autobiography-signing dates

For a few decades already the drummer Alex Van Halen became the most recluse member of the band and rarely gave interviews. After years without saying a lot in social media or to the press, the drummer will release an autobiography called “Brothers”, which will also talk about his late legendary brother and bandmate Eddie Van Halen.

Besides releasing Van Halen’s final song with the book, Alex also announced some signing dates. So far the events will happen only in New York, Culver City and Northvale next October.

When I see you again, I’m gonna kick your ass!’ Alex Van Halen said. “Published by Harper Collins with a release date of October 22, 2024, Brothers is 240 pages and is available in three formats: Standard Hardcover, Deluxe Autographed Hardcover, and an audio book narrated by Alex himself.”

Alex recently announced that he would auction his personal gear and instrument collection. The sale was announced by Backstage Auctions Inc. The last time Alex Van Halen performed live was at the final Van Halen concert back in 2015 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. Since his brother’s death in 2020, rumors about a possible reunion of the band to pay tribute to Eddie have been circulating but as Eddie’s song Wolfgang Van Halen said, it was David Lee Roth who prevented the reunion from happening.
