U2 announces first 2027 European tour dates

U2 recently announced “Carnaval de Luz”, their 16th studio album and also their first tour dates, which were in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. Now the group announced their first 2027 shows in Europe, they will play in Sweden, France, Portugal, Netherlands, England, Germany and Italy.

The title of their record is in Portuguese and means “Light Carnival.” The first single, “Silencio,” is already available and means “Silence”, also in Portuguese. Although it should actually be written “Silêncio,” with an accent. Bono recently confirmed that it is Portuguese, not Spanish.

It is their first album of original music since “Songs of Experience” (2017) and will be released next November 13. Bono, Larry Mullen Jr., The Edge and Adam Clayton have some special guests in the album. Some of them are Brian Eno, Martin Garrix, Rya Tedder and duet with the late Dolly Parton.

I'm a Brazilian journalist who always loved Classic Rock and Heavy Metal music. That passion inspired me to create Rock and Roll Garage over 9 years ago. Music has always been a part of my life, helping me through tough times and being a support to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist, I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After graduating in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, I pursued a postgraduate degree in digital communication at the same institution. The studies and experience in the field helped me improve the website and always bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
