Read the announcement of the cancellation of Joan Jett’s tour dates:

“Following a recent injury, Joan Jett has undergone orthopedic surgery on a fractured vertebrae and will begin the necessary healing process. In close consultation with her doctors, Joan will not be able to perform at her forthcoming September scheduled shows in Costa Mesa, CA on September 5th and in Louisville, KY on September 24th. While Joan hates to disappoint fans, she will be taking this time to focus on physical therapy and healing. She’s looking forward to delivering tremendous concerts for many years to come,” the statement said.

Joan will celebrate her 68th birthday next September 22. Her most recent studio album is “Unvarnished”, released in 2013. Born in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, in 1958, she first achieved fame as a member of The Runaways and went on to become the most famous artist from the band, achieving greater success than her former bandmates during their solo careers.

Her current band is formed by Dougie Needles (Guitar – Since 1999), Hal B. Selzer (Bass – Since 2015) and Michael McDermott (Drums – Since 2016). Their latest album is “Mindsets”, released in 2023. They performed earlier this year in New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom. Some of the biggest hits of her career are “I Love Rock ‘N Roll”, “Bad Reputation”, “I Hate Myself For Loving You”, “Crimson and Clover” and “Do You Wanna Touch Me”. She is one of the most successful and influential female Rock musicians of all time.
