Joe Satriani and Steve Vai formed a new band and will tour

Joe Satriani was Steve Vai’s guitar teacher when they were young and not famous and a few decades later both of them became two of the most influential guitar players from the past decades. After many projects together like G3, now they created a new band called Satchvai, which will play live a lot in 2025.

“I’m so looking forward to sharing the stage with Steve again. Every time we play together, it takes me back to when we were teenagers, eating and breathing music every second of the day, pushing, challenging, and helping each other to be the best we could be. I guess we’ve never stopped!” Joe Satriani said.

Steve Vai also talked about the band, saying: “Touring with Joe is always a pleasure and an honor. He is my favorite guitarist to jam with, and now we have another opportunity to take it to the stage. I feel as though we are both at the top of our game, and the show will be a powerful celebration of the coolest instrument in the world, the electric guitar!”

They also released a new single called “The Sea of Emotion Pt. 1”, which has a really funny official video with both of them in the 70s, wearing wigs and even with a Jimi Hendrix cameo.

I'm a Brazilian journalist who always loved Classic Rock and Heavy Metal music. That passion inspired me to create Rock and Roll Garage over 6 years ago. Music has always been a part of my life, helping me through tough times and being a support to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist, I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After graduating in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, I pursued a postgraduate degree in digital communication at the same institution. The studies and experience in the field helped me improve the website and always bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
