What Frank Sinatra told Bob Dylan about their eyes when they met
Bob Dylan changed the course of songwriting and music in the 60s with the release of his first albums. In the music business for almost six decades, the musician had the chance to meet many incredible artists over the decades. One of them was the legendary singer Frank Sinatra, who he respected and even did some cover albums of pop standards made famous by the late singer.

What Frank Sinatra told Bob Dylan about their eyes when they met
Back in 1995a TV special “Sinatra: 80 Years My Way” was made and featured names like Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. The Folk Rock musician recalled in the interview that after the tribute they were invited to Sinatra’s house to meet him.
“Not really (He didn’t know my work that well). I think he knew ‘The Times They Are a-Changin’’and ‘Blowin’ In the Wind.’ I know he liked ‘Forever Young,’ he told me that. He was funny, we were standing out on his patio at night and he said to me, ‘You and me, pal, we got blue eyes, we’re from up there,’ and he pointed to the stars. ‘These other bums are from down here.’ I remember thinking that he might be right,” Bob Dylan said.
In 2015 Dylan released “Shadows In The Night”, an album of pop standards made famous by Frank Sinatra. In the following years he released two more cover albums with songs made famous by the late singer. They were “Fallen Angels” (2016) and “Triplicate” (2017).
Frank Sinatra was active from 1935 until 1995. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 82, a victim of a heart attack. The words written on his gravestone are “the best is yet to come”.
