Richie Sambora says he will comeback if Bon Jovi fix voice issue
Bon Jovi is not on the road since 2022 due to Jon Bon Jovi‘s voice issues, he even underwent a procedure that year to alleviate loose vocal cords. He is still recovering from that surgery and as he revealed in interviews this year, the process is taking longer than expected. So there is still no way to predict when the band will be back on the road.

In an interview with The Allison Hagendorf Show (Transcribed by Ultimate Classic Rock), the guitarist Richie Sambora, who left the band in 2013, said that if Jon gets his voice back he will rejoin the group to perform. He also revealed that he recently visited the singer.

“The fans would just love it. It’s not finance (standing in the way). It has nothing to do with that. The world could use it. But, as Jon said, he’s been having problems with his voice. And now he had that operation with some plastic thing in his larynx. And it’s an iffy thing at best. I don’t know if there’s anybody that has ever had that be successful. I’m not really sure about that.”
“Physiologically, it doesn’t seem almost possible. Where your brain teaches this plastic thing how to (work). Almost like you’ve gotta relearn speech in a way. If he gets (his voice) back, I’ll go play,” Richie Sambora said.
Since Sambora’s departure, Bon Jovi released four studio albums, the most recent one being “Forever” in 2024. He was replaced by the guitarist Phil X, who had previously worked with bands like Triumph, Powder, Phil X & The Drills.
Meanwhile Sambora released two EPs and one album as RSO, the duo he formed with his wife Orianthi, who is also a famous guitarist who worked with names like Michael Jackson and Alice Cooper.
