The legendary Black Sabbath co-founder and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne was in the middle of his farewell tour “No More Tours 2” back in 2018 when he was forced to cancel his shows due to his health. Since then the musician was able to perform a few songs live on special occasions and also released two studio albums: “Ordinary Man” (2020) and “Patient Number 9.” (2022).

He had announced his return to the stage at the Power Trip Festival this year in California, which will also have names like AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden. But he was forced to cancel once again that show due to his health problems, being replaced by Judas Priest.
During the last episode of his Sirius XM show “Ozzy Speaks” (Transcribed by Blabbermouth), the musician talked about his current health status.
Ozzy Osbourne said about his current health status:
“I’m battling through it. For instance last Monday, I went to have a filter removed. ‘Cause I had the blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your artery to stop the blood clots going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is. So, on Monday, I went to have it removed.”
“The blood clots have jammed you all up. So, they put a thing down there in my neck, straight down to my groin. It’s just disappointment after disappointment. Just get this thing fucking done so I can go get on with my life,” Ozzy Osbourne said.
In an official statement two weeks ago, Ozzy talked about having to cancel the show at Power Trip Festival.
“As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October. My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.”
“Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed. The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed.”
