Genesis will release historic concerts on Youtube
Following the footsteps of Metallica, Radiohead and Pink Floyd, Genesis has also announced it will release historic concerts on Youtube. Entitled the Genesis Film Festival, the series will be a celebration of live images specially designed for fans facing the quarantine imposed by the new coronavirus crisis.

So, every Saturday an anthological presentation of Genesis will be available for seven days on the band’s official YouTube channel. And the first will be the 1981 Three Sides Live show. In addition, these publications on the video platform will take place over the next 5 weeks.
Genesis said about the online festival:
“Introducing the Genesis Film Festival, a celebration of live footage for you to enjoy at home during lockdown! So, over the coming 5 weeks, every Saturday from 8pm BST / 2pm EDT / 11am PDT a new Genesis concert film will be made available to watch on the band’s official YouTube channel for 7 days. First up this week is ‘Three Sides Live’ from 1981! Don’t miss a thing by subscribing to the channel now – link in bio.”

Genesis announced their reunion tour one month before the Covid-19 pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization. But the dates are still scheduled for November and December. Since the reunion is by the end of the year, maybe, if thing get better the shows will happen.

The tour will feature the classic Genesis lineup, featuring Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks. In addition, they will be accompanied by Collins’ son Nicholas on drums. And also, Daryl Stuermer on guitar and bass.
Genesis
Genesis was a British progressive rock band formed in 1967. Was formed when Anthony Phillips, Peter Gabriel, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks were still studying at Charterhouse School. They achieved enormous success in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. With approximately 130 million albums sold worldwide, it is considered one of the most important rock bands of all time.
However, their career has two different musical phases. Also, in the initial phase with Peter Gabriel as the vocalist, its complex musical structures, elaborate instrumentation and theatrical performances. Therefore, that made them one of the most revered bands of progressive rock in the 1970s.
