One of the most underrated heavy metal bands, Saxon, has many forgotten goods songs in their career. Including more recent songs from the last decade. “Atila The Hun”, from the album The Inner Sanctum (2007), is one of them.

The song talks about Attila, frequently referred to as Attila the Hun, that was the ruler of the Huns from 434 until his death in March 453. He was also the leader of a tribal empire consisting of Huns, Ostrogoths, and Alans among others, on the territory of Central and Eastern Europe.
The album has received generally positive reviews from critics and it is the seventeenth studio album made by Saxon, released on 5 March 2007. It is the first album by the band to feature drummer Nigel Glockler since 1997’s Unleash the Beast.
