Angus Young reveals that Bon Scott had piercing in the nipples

A curious revelation was made by Angus Young in a short video posted on AC / DC’s social networks commemorating the 40th anniversary of the release of “Highway To Hell”, the latest studio work featuring the late Bon Scott.

“One of his first jobs was lobster fisherman on boats, and this was where he got tattooed. I think he was 15 or 16, from what he said. At one of the first shows he was wearing a kilt.” nowadays I see a lot of people wearing pins, reamers and piercings. But he was already doing that. I remember he had a nipple piercing and was thinking about piercing his nose. ”

Ronald Belford “Bon” Scott (9 July 1946 – 19 February 1980) was an Australian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, best known for being the lead vocalist and lyricist of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC from 1974 until his death in 1980.

AC/DC’s popularity grew throughout the 1970s, initially in Australia, and then internationally. Their 1979 album Highway to Hell reached the top 20 in the United States, and the band seemed on the verge of a commercial breakthrough. However, on 19 February 1980, Scott died after a night out in London.

AC/DC briefly considered disbanding, but the group recruited vocalist Brian Johnson of the British glam rock band Geordie, a band in the 70’s. AC/DC’s subsequent album, Back in Black, was released only five months later, and was a tribute to Scotts’ death. It went on to become the third best-selling album in history.
