Woodstock 50 is canceled
Unfortunately everything indicates that Woodstock 50 is canceled. According to the TMZ website, Dentsu Aegis Network, the largest investor in the event celebrating 50 years of the original festival, is reviewed their decision and has chosen to no longer finance the project.

The statment says:
“It’s a dream for agencies to work with iconic brands and to be associated with meaningful movements. We have a strong history of producing experiences that bring people together around common interests and causes, which is why we chose to be a part of the Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival.”
“But despite our tremendous investment of time, effort and commitment, we don’t believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock brand name while also ensuring the health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees.”
Tickets and Cancellation
It is worth remembering that the opening of ticket sales should have already started a few days ago but was delayed supposedly due to the lack of licenses to perform the Woodstock 50 where it was announced.
In addition, The Black Keys, which is now returning with a new album and was in the line-up, announced that it would cancel their performance there, which is something unusual for a band that needs attention when releasing a new work.
Organization
Still, even with all the signs that the thing will not roll, festival promoter Michael Lang said the investor’s announcement was a “complete surprise,” and he “will not give up on the festival.”
That is, the cancellation is not yet officially confirmed.
