Motörhead‘s legendary leader, bassist and singer Lemmy Kilmister will gain a biographical movie. After the announcement of the film many fans were questioning who would play the musician. Since there is no information yet about who would be him in the production, Rock and Roll Garage prepared a list of actors that could be good choices for the role.

Danny Trejo is probably the only well-known actor who has the greatest physical resemblance to Lemmy. He already have a similar mustache and with more make-up effects, the hat and the wart he could be a perfect Kilmister.
Tom Savini also has a certain resemblance to Lemmy Kilmister. He is an American makeup artist/film technician that marked the 80’s doing special effects and makeup from classic horror movies like Friday the 13th. Also he acted in several movies like “From Dusk till Dawn” and also directed Night Of The Living Dead’s remake in 1990.
He would certainly do amazing make-up effects and could, why not, play the musician.
British and known for his versatility in playing different characters, Christian Bale would be a great option. However, the Ex-Batman is probably really expensive.
Brand achieved fame in England, after presenting a spin-off of Big Brother, Big Brother’s Big Mouth, and for his radio program. Among other television series and award ceremonies. He has also appeared in several films, including the romantic comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, St Trinian’s and Bedtime Stories.
Maybe he’s not as perfect as other options on the list, but his accent and hair and beard could work.
The American actor Billy Crudup is known for being Doctor Manhattan in the movie “Watchmen” and also to be a rockstar in Cameron Crowe’s “Almost Famous”. Since he already was a famous musician in a movie, he probably could be a good Lemmy.
Even though Johnny Depp is nothing like Lemmy, he is a good actor and loves music. He is currently the guitarist of the supergroup Hollywood Vampires alongside Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. Cooper said recently that if Lemmy was alive he probably be on this band, since they were really good friends.
Another great English actor who has also played varied characters in his career. He made important films such as Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Hateful Eight.
I'm a Brazilian journalist who always loved Classic Rock and Heavy Metal music. That passion inspired me to create Rock and Roll Garage over 6 years ago. Music has always been a part of my life, helping me through tough times and being a support to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist, I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After graduating in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, I pursued a postgraduate degree in digital communication at the same institution. The studies and experience in the field helped me improve the website and always bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
