Have you thought about celebrating your birthday playing drums with Metallica? That’s what happened to Evan, a 13-year-old boy who had the unique opportunity.
During a show in Amsterdam last Tuesday (11), the boy took the stage to play the beggining of “Seek & Destroy”. The group posted a video of the moment in their Twitter account.
Before the beginning of the song, vocalist James Hetfield jokes:
“Oh, my God, Lars [Ulrich] has shrunk! They put Lars in the washing machine. I asked not to put it in the dryer. He shrugged.”
Meanwhile, the drummer appears whispering to the boy – probably giving some advice.
In his Instagram, Evan commented:
“Well, now I have no words. I mean, I played drums in front of 68,000 people with my heroes, my favorite band of my life. It was the best thing in the world and above all, it was my birthday !!”
