Nita Strauss talks about being a descendant of Johann Strauss II

The amazing Alice Cooper guitarist Nita Strauss talked with Sweetwater about being one of the descendants of the Austrian classical composer Johann Strauss II.

“The composer Johann Strauss… So ever since I was a child – I come from a musical family, my dad’s a musician, he’s the one who taught me how to play the guitar. We listened to Strauss constantly in the house”.

“We listen to classical music and I love having that as my background because it gives me that drive. If your uncle or your grandad is Joe Montana you’re gonna want to throw a pretty tight spiral. [Laughs] So having something like that, having that kind of legacy to be a part of definitely is a big drive for me.”
