Genesis

Genesis was a British progressive rock band formed in 1967. Was formed when Anthony Phillips, Peter Gabriel, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks were still studying at Charterhouse School. They achieved enormous success in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. With approximately 130 million albums sold worldwide, it is considered one of the most important rock bands of all time.

However, their career has two different musical phases. Also, in the initial phase with Peter Gabriel as the vocalist, its complex musical structures, elaborate instrumentation and theatrical performances. Therefore, that made them one of the most revered bands of progressive rock in the 1970s.

I am a Brazilian journalist, a Classic Rock and Heavy Metal lover. Music has always been part of my life, helped me through tough moments and was with me to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After college I did a postgraduate degree in digital communication. This has helped me to make the website better and bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
