Bohemian Rhapsody is nominated in 5 Oscar categories

The film Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen’s biopic, was nominated for 5 categories at the 2019 Academy Awards, or simply, the Oscar’s.

There are two nominations for the strongest categories of the Oscars, Best Picture and Best Actor (Rami Malek interpretation of Freddie Mercury). In addition, the feature was recognized in two other technical segments: Sound Mixing, Sound Editing and Editing.

Another film guided by musical theme recognized with some indications was A Star is Born, with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. There were 8 nominations in total: Best Picture, Best Actor (Gaga), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actor (Sam Elliot), Best Original Song (Shallow) and Best Sound Mixing.

Among the films indicated, productions Rome and The Favourite stood out with 10 nominations each. Black Panther, meanwhile, received 7 nominations.

The 2019 Oscar awards ceremony takes place on February 24 in Hollywood, United States.
