For six months, from 2006-2007, when the band was without a singer, Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang Van Halen rehearsed twice a week at 5150 studios.
From Wolfgang’s first rehearsal and for months after, each rehearsal was filmed and documented by a single camera.
Each rehearsal, the musicians played 19 songs.

Wolfgang Van Halen, born March 16, 1991, is the fruit of the marriage of Valerie Bertinelli and Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen. In 2006, he became the band’s new bassist, replacing Michael Anthony, a former band bassist who left in 2005.
His bass was created by his father, having the same design as his guitar, Frankenstrat. Wolfgang recorded his first full-length album, A Different Kind of Truth in February 2012. He appears in Guitar Hero: Van Halen.
Named in homage to the classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, he is the son of guitarist Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli, and the nephew of drummer Alex Van Halen. Wolfgang has said that he did not know his father was a famous musician until he “started picking up CDs and saw his picture on them”.
