This Thursday, February 15, Muse released the band’s newest single, “Thought Contagion”, accompanied by an eccentric music video. During an interview with British radio show Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 Show, the band said that the track was inspired by Richard Dawkins and the concept of memes.

The group also stated that the visual record directed by Lance Drake is a continuation of the story told in the “Dig Down” video, a single released by the band in May 2017.

Muse released their latest career album, a concept album on modern wars, Drones, in 2015. In 2016, during the LP’s tour, the group led by Matt Bellamy used real drones during the performances until they had problems when one fell in the audience. Thinking of the upcoming tours, the group said they would like to incorporate magnets and levitations during live performances. It’s Muse’s eye on the future.
