Peter Wolf fronted the J. Geils Band from 1968 to 1983 and later during reunion periods in 1999, from 2005 to 2006 and from 2009 to 2015, when the band came to an end. He is the voice behind their biggest hits: ‘Centerfold,’ ‘Freeze-Frame,’ ‘Love Stinks’ and ‘Must of Got Lost.’ As a solo artist, Wolf released eight studio albums, the most recent being A Cure for Loneliness (2016). Some of his most famous songs from the solo years are: “Peace of Mind”, “Growin’ Pain”, “Some Other Time, Some Other Place”.
Throughout his life, Wolf had connections with many other famous figures. He attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in Boston, where he studied painting. Curiously, his first roommate was David Lynch, who would later become a renowned film director. From 1974 to 1979, he was married to Hollywood actress Faye Dunaway.
