Theres is a new supergroup around, is the Deadland Ritual. The band is formed by Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) on bass, Matt Sorum (Guns N ‘Roses, Velvet Revolver) on drums, Steve Stevens (Billy Idol, Vince Neil) on guitar and Franky Perez (Apocalyptica) on vocals.
The Deadland Ritual’s debut on the stage is set to be at the Hellfest 2019 festival. The band’s name had already attracted attention by taking a prominent position on the event’s flyer, alongside names like Kiss, Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Rival Sons.
Earlier this year, when Black Sabbath came to an end, Geezer Butler had revealed his upcoming plans. At the time, he said he wanted to write an autobiography and make a solo album. Butler apparently changed his mind about solo career and opted to remain in a band.
