Aerosmith announced last year their retirement from touring due to Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. But last February 3, the musician performed with his Aerosmith bandmates and other famous musicians during his sixth annual “Jam for Janie” Grammys viewing party.
The performance happened at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California and had special guests like Tom Hamilton, Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum and Nuno Bettencourt.

Last year, in an interview with WBUR, Tom Hamilton said that Steven was recovering well. “Steven’s healing process is going really, really well, but it goes at its own pace. Maybe Aerosmith will do something in the future, but it’s a big ‘if’, and the last thing I want to be doing is to try and push Steven in that direction. If we do anything in the future, it would come from him,” Tom Hamilton.
Since the band announced their touring retirement, Hamilton is the only member of the group who announced a new project. He is currently promoting the songs released by his new group Close Enemies.
