In an interview with journalist Eddie Trunk, Iron Maiden bassist and founder Steve Harris talked about Glenn Tipton not being on the next Judas Priest tour. The guitarist was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and in the week advertiser that is not available present on the tour.
Read what he said:
“Glenn came to attend a British Lion show in Birmingham a few years ago. We talked a lot, and he looked just fine. I think he has gone through ups and downs over the years and I think now he can not continue what is very sad.”
Steve Harris adds, “At least Glenn indicated that he could play some songs here and there on the tour.” The bassist also spoke about the continuity of Iron Maiden: “I’ve been wondering for the last 20 years how long we’re going to continue…”
“The answer is I do not know. Let’s continue as long as we can. You have to watch over everyone’s health and there are things that we can not control and that can determine whether we continue or not. But as long as we’re physically fit, we’re going to continue for a long time, “concludes Steve Harris.
